Prep football Player of the Week honor roll

• Baylor: Sophomore George Porter turned in his first 100-yard rushing performance of the season, picking up an even 100 on 16 carries as the Red Raiders held on to best rival McCallie 34-28.

• Bledsoe County: Brandon Smith scored four TDs including an 87-yard fumble return as Bledsoe County held on for a 24-21 win over McMinn Central.

• Boyd-Buchanan: Chase Reed rushed 22 times for 142 yards and two TDs and also scored on a 54-yard pass from Jim Cardwell as the Buccaneers moved to 6-0 with a 21-17 win over Donelson Christian Academy.

• Bradley Central: QB Bryce Copeland completed 18 of 33 passes with both of the Bears' scores in a 34-14 loss to Blackman.

• Central: The Pounders do know how to throw. LaDarrius Jackson threw a 7-yard scoring pass to Tyler Sorensen and rushed for two more scores but the Purple Pounders fell to Soddy-Daisy 34-28 in overtime and fell to 2-3 on the season.

• Cleveland: Chad Voytik scored four TDs, rushing for 156 yards, and threw for 117 yards and a TD as the Blue Raiders improved to 3-3 with a surprising 41-6 victory over previously unbeaten Red Bank.

• Dade County: Rodney Cannon didn't get in on the scoring but rushed 22 times for 112 yards in the Wolverines' 22-21 overtime loss to Gordon Central.

• East Ridge: Mike Johnson had 13 tackles for the Pioneers but they couldn't get enough scoring punch in a 26-7 loss to Ooltewah.

• Hixson: Justin Mathieson ran for 102 yards and passed for 77 but the Wildcats suffered their second straight loss, 30-14 to visiting DeKalb County.

• Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe: Daniel Deocampo threw a TD in regulation and then scored the winning TD in the second overtime and LFO won its first game of the season, 35-28 over North Murray.

• McCallie: In a fierce fourth-quarter rally, quarterback Trent Lusk scored one TD and passed for another but the Blue Tornado came up short against Baylor, 34-28. Lusk also had a second-quarter TD.

• McMinn Central: Darecio Bordon scored two TDs on returns, one 75 yards on a kickoff and the other 45 yards on a punt but the Chargers fell to Bledsoe County 24-21.

• North Jackson: Dakota Garner and Nicholas Pope scored two touchdowns apiece as the Chiefs rode roughshod over Ra.A. Hubbard 42-8.

• Notre Dame: Josh moore suffered three interceptions but also ran for a TD and threw for three more as the Irish outlasted Lookout Valley 46-30.

• Ooltewah: Mikhail Creech had a 93-yard interception return to key the Owls' 26-7 win over East Ridge. The win improved Ooltewah's record to 4-2.

• Polk County: Derrick Saxe put up another 100-yard game, picking up 179 as the Wildcats climbed to 4-2 with a 32-6 victory over Walker Valley.

• Red Bank: Niquia McDuffie couldn't generate much offense but he did account for the Lions' only TD as they suffered their first defeat, 41-6 to visiting Cleveland.

• Rhea County: Desmond Sharp scored one of the Golden Eagles' two touchdowns and rushed 26 times for 157 yards. They lost to Knox Fulton, though, 34-13 and fell to 0-6.

• Sequatchie County: Jerry Fain scored three TDs to lead Sequatchie County's 49-2 victory over Marion County. Sequatchie improved to 5-1 heading into its key district game against Bledsoe County on Friday.

• Signal Mountain: Tim McClendon scored a school-record five rushing TDs but fellow fullback Zack Bowman rushed 13 times for 150 yards and a TD in the Eagles' 65-36 victory over South Pittsburg.

• Silverdale Baptist: Matt McCulley scored the first two and then provided the overtime game-winner as the Seahawks evened their record at 3-3 with a 30-22 win over Whitwell.

• Soddy-Daisy: Brett Standifer tossed three touchdown passes as the Trojans bested Central 34-28 in overtime to secure their second win of the year.

• Southeast Whitfield: Cody Burch rushed for 106 yards and a pair of TDs on 24 carries to lead Southeast Whitfield's 44-13 victory over Lithia Spring.

• South Pittsburg: Jajuan Lankford was held to 79 rushing yards by Signal Mountain but the sophomore still scored four TDs -- two on kickoff returns -- in the Pirates' 65-36 loss to the Eagles.

• Walker Valley: Kelvin Wells got the winless Mustangs' only TD and rushed for 131 yards but they fell 32-6 to Polk County for their fifth loss of the year.

• Whitwell: Dustin McHone scored two of the Tigers' three TDs but they came up short 30-22 in overtime to Silverdale Baptist.
