Prep basketball standouts for Feb. 13

Jamal Worthington, Bledsoe County: He scored 28 points, gathered 10 rebounds, picked up five steals and recorded three assists as the Warriors advanced to the District 7-AA semifinals with a 69-53 win over Grundy County.

Destiny Smith, Bledsoe County: She scored 18 points and blocked seven shots in a 64-43 District 7-AA tournament victory over Signal Mountain.

Kionna Beaman, Notre Dame: She was the only Lady Irish player in double figures, scoring 15 points, in a District 7-AA tourney win over Chattanooga Christian.

Gannon Harris, Ridgeland: He had 15 points and 12 rebounds as the Panthers advanced in the Georgia 7-AAA tournament with a 61-59 defeat of Murray County.

Cody Sherlin, Heritage: He scored 12 points and was his team's only player in double figures in a 47-42 loss to Cedartown.

Josh Green, Dade County: He scored 29 points with four 3-pointers as the Wolverines won the Subregion 7B-AA title with a 77-54 win over North Murray.

Taylor Palmer, Calhoun: She scored 19 points in the Lady Yellow Jackets' 38-36 win over Dade County in the Subregion 7B-AA girls' final.

Logan Brewer, Polk County: He had 24 points and eight blocked shots in a 50-43 loss to Cleveland.
