Ryan Parker's love of competition is well-documented at this point, so having a week off during the first round of the Division II-AA playoffs might have been harder on him than most football players.

The Baylor senior got right back to doing what he loves Friday night.

Parker had 88 rushing yards and a pair of touchdowns to help lead the Red Raiders to a 31-10 road win over Memphis University School in the second round of state and set up a quarterfinals matchup with Brentwood Academy next week.

Quarterback Wil Austin added 234 yards of total offense for Baylor (9-2), which ended the season for MUS at 7-4. Austin connected on a pair of touchdown passes in the third quarter - 9 yards to Gage Upshaw and 41 yards to Tate Prater - after Parker, a Mr. Football semifinalist, scored on runs of 4 and 8 yards in the second quarter.

Victor Ulmo got Baylor, which enjoyed a first-round bye, on the board with a 35-yard field goal a little more than halfway through the first quarter. Adrian Harris had 68 yards on 10 carries for the Red Raiders, who lost 31-29 to Montgomery Bell Academy in the quarterfinals last year.

Baylor limited MUS to 11 rushing yards.
