Tennessee's Mr. Football finalists announced

The Chattanooga area had four players make the cut as finalists for the TSSAA Mr. Football Awards, sponsored by the Tennessee Titans. The finalists were announced Monday afternoon with Baylor linebacker Ryan Parker (Division II-AA Lineman), Boyd-Buchanan two-way lineman Jake Harden (2A Lineman), East Ridge running back Traneil Moore (3A Back) and Ooltewah linebacker Jeremiah Jackson (5A Lineman) all among the finalists.

Four players in all eight TSSAA classifications were named last week as semifinalists for both back and lineman awards, as well as four semifinalists for Kicker of the Year. There were eight area players named as semifinalists - Parker, Harden, Moore, Jackson along with Marion County running back Josh Henderson and linebacker Alex Kirkendoll, Notre Dame lineman Tyler Enos and Bradley Central quarterback Cole Copeland.

Only the two finalists for each award will be invited to attend the luncheon on Monday, November 30 at Nissan Stadium, where the winner will be announced.
