The stats: Huckabay, who hit 19 home runs batting cleanup this past high school season, went 2-for-5 overall but set a classic record scoring five runs in the two games. She hit a three-run home run while batting in the No. 2 spot in Tennessee's victory. Hughes was the winning pitcher in the second game, pitching the first six innings and allowing four hits, a walk and three earned runs while striking out four. She also hit a double, walked and was hit by a pitch. Tamewitz was 3-for-7 for the two games, driving in three runs and scoring one. Other notable performances included the pitching of Gordon Lee's Emily Armour, Georgia's first-game starter. She threw four innings and allowed three hits, two walks and one earned run and had six strikeouts. Central's Alexis Grampp contributed a two-run double in the game Tennessee won. Georgia's Erin Whitlock from Heritage totaled four hits.
