Travis Denker's grand slam to right with two out in the top of the seventh inning helped Chattanooga sweep a pair of seven-inning games against the Jackson Generals with wins of 3-1 and 8-5 and improve to 6-1 in the Southern League's second half.
Brian Cavazos-Galvez, Elian Herrera and Wilberto Ortiz were on base when Denker went deep, with Cavazos-Galvez reaching on an error and Herrera and Ortiz drawing walks.
In the opener, Allen Webster allowed a home run to Scott Savastano, who was the second batter he faced, but dominated from there to lead the Lookouts to victory.
Scott Van Slyke and Denker had one-out singles in the second inning, with Van Slyke scoring on a bases-loaded walk to Jaime Pedroza and Denker scoring on a throwing error.
It stayed 2-1 in the opener until Hector Gimenez's double to center in the seventh scored Alfredo Silverio.
Game three of a six-game series in Jackson is tonight at 8:05 Eastern.
Chris Withrow (2-5, 4.52) is scheduled to start for the Lookouts, with Jarrett Grube (5-2, 3.11) scheduled for the Generals.
