Jorge Polanco's grand slam to right field in the fifth inning broke open a scoreless Southern League baseball game Friday night in Montgomery, Ala., and propelled Chattanooga to its first win as a new Twins affiliate, 6-2.

The Lookouts (1-1) loaded the bases in the fifth when Mike Gonzales singled to open the inning, Levi Michael was hit by a pitch with two outs and Byron Buxton reached on a fielding error.

Polanco was 3-for-5 and Dalton Hicks was 3-for-4 with a ninth-inning RBI double.

Jose Berrios became the second Chattanooga starting pitcher in as many nights with at least 10 strikeouts, with the touted Berrios collecting 11 in 6 1/3 innings.

Game three of the five-game series is tonight at 8:05 EDT. Greg Peavey is the scheduled starting pitcher for the Lookouts, with Jared Mortensen scheduled for the Biscuits.
