The Chattanooga Lookouts closed out their Southern League home baseball series against the Mobile BayBears with a 6-2 win Tuesday night. The Tennessee Smokies begin a series at AT&T Field tonight.

The Lookouts took a 4-0 lead into the eighth inning Tuesday and regained the four-run margin after Mobile used three singles to score two runs and prevent the shutout.

Chattanooga's No. 3 batter, Max Kepler, raised his season batting average to .331 by going 3-for-4 with a triple, a double and two runs scored, and Travis Harrison was 2-for-4 with a double, three RBIs and two runs. Niko Goodrum was 2-for-4 with a triple and two RBIs.

Jorge Polanco singled in Jairo Rodriguez for the game's first run in the third inning, and the Lookouts took control behind starting pitcher David Hurlbut (8-6) with a three-run sixth featuring Harrison's two-out, two-run single that third baseman Raul Navarro got a glove on. Goodrum then tripled Harrison home.

Hurlbut gave up nine hits in his 7 2/3 innings of work but struck out seven batters. Brandon Peterson got the last four outs, three on strikes, for his first save.

Sean Jamieson was 2-for-3 with a run and Navarro and Tom Belza each was 2-for-4 for Mobile.
