The Chattanooga Lookouts took control of the scoreboard with a three-run third inning against the Pensacola Blue Wahoos on Saturday night but couldn't match their hosts in the final frames of a 10-6 Southern League loss on the Florida Panhandle.

Jesse Winkler's one-out single to right field in the seventh scored Beau Amaral and Zach Vincej as Pensacola (56-67 overall, 31-24 in South Division second half) broke a 5-5 tie and captured the finale of the five-game series at Pensacola Bayfront Stadium, as well as the series itself with its third win in the set.

Chattanooga (67-54 overall, 24-29 in North Division second half) had pulled even earlier in the seventh when Adam Walker's single to left scored Stephen Wickens. The Lookouts pulled within 7-6 in the eighth when Travis Harrison tripled to right and scored on a Levi Michael groundout, but the Blue Wahoos regained a two-run lead later in the eighth on a Phillip Ervin home run to left-center and then added two more runs in the inning.

Wickens finished 2-for-5 with a double, two RBIs and two runs, Harrison went 2-for-4, Stuart Turner was 1-for-1 and drew three walks, and Max Kepler and Jorge Polanco each drove in a run.

Pensacola finished the night with four home runs and out-hit the Lookouts 12-8, with Chattanooga going 3-for-10 with runners in scoring position.

Alex Wimmers (7-4) took the loss after allowing a pair of earned runs on three hits in 1 2/3 innings of relief. Jason Wheeler started and lasted 5 1/3 innings, allowing five earned runs on six hits and two walks while striking out five.

The Lookout are back home today for the opener in a five-game series against the Tennessee Smokies at AT&T Field. David Hurlbut (8-6, 4.03) is scheduled to start for the Lookouts, with first pitch set for 5:15 p.m., while the Smokies have yet to announce their starter.
