Jacob Hannemann broke open a close game with a two-run triple in the sixth inning, and the Tennessee Smokies beat the visiting Chattanooga Lookouts 8-4 in Southern League baseball Friday night.

Tennessee's leadoff man was a thorn in the side of the Lookouts all night. He had two triples and a double in going 4-for-5 and scoring three runs. Albert Almora had three RBIs, and his leadoff homer in the bottom of the third erased a 2-1 Chattanooga advantage, which came on Adam Brett Walker II's two-run double in the top of the inning.

Center fielder Shannon Wilkerson was 2-for-3 and scored twice for the Lookouts.

Game two of a three-game series at Kodak, Tenn., is tonight at 7:05. David Hurlbut (6-4, 4.25 ERA) is the scheduled starting pitcher for the Lookouts, with Felix Pena (5-6, 4.15) scheduled for the Smokies.
