After roaring through the first half of the Southern League season with a 43-25 record, Chattanooga needed four tries before notching its first win of the second half.

Even that didn't come easily.

In Sunday's 9-8 victory at Montgomery, the Lookouts broke a 1-1 tie in the sixth inning when Max Kepler drew a leadoff walk and Adam Walker followed with a home run to center field.

Kepler doubled to right in the seventh inning to score Jorge Polanco and Miguel Sano, and Sano hit a three-run homer to right-center in the ninth.

However, the Biscuits rallied for four runs with two outs in the bottom of the ninth, scoring on a bases-loaded walk, then bringing those runners home with a triple.

Polanco finished 3 for 4 with a walk, Kepler was 3 for 3 with three RBIs, Sano was 3 for 5 with a double and Walker was 2 for 4 with three RBIs.

Jose Berrios (8-3) picked up the win, allowing one earned run on two hits and a walk while striking out six batters. Tim Shibuya earned the save by facing one batter and recording a lineout.

Game five of a five-game series in Montgomery is tonight at 8:05 EDT.

Jason Wheeler, who went 1-6 with a 5.90 ERA in 13 starts at Triple-A Rochester before being sent down, is scheduled to start tonight for the Lookouts. Blake Snell (4-2, 1.71) is scheduled for the Biscuits.
