Lookouts win 12-11 with six-run ninth inning

Thursday's recap: On a night the runs came in waves, the Lookouts washed away the last of the five-run deficit they started the ninth inning with when Lamonte Wade singled to center field to score Alex Perez with two outs. Wade finished 3-for-6, and Edgar Corcino delivered five RBIs thanks a to a grand slam in Chattanooga's five-run fifth and a sacrifice fly in the six-run ninth, when the Smokies walked six. Tennessee trailed 6-4 before a seven-run eighth that included a three-run double from Trey Martin. The Smokies had runners on first and second with two outs in the bottom of the ninth, but Nick Anderson struck out the side for his seventh save of the season.

Next up: Game four of a five-game series at Tennessee is tonight at 7.

Pitchers: Felix Jorge (9-3, 3.52) is scheduled to start for the Lookouts, with Stephen Perakslis (4-2, 3.26) scheduled for the Smokies.
