Volkswagen names new U.S. sales chief amid sluggish results

Volkswagen of America today announced the appointment of Ronald Stach as vice president of sales for the Volkswagen brand effective immediately.

In this role, Stach, 48, will direct activities of the U.S. sales regions, retail programs and fleet and remarketing. He will report to Mark McNabb, the company's chief operating officer.

Stach succeeds Mark Barnes, who has assumed responsibilities as chief operation officer at Bentley of the Americas within Volkswagen Group of America.

Stach most recently served as director of the South Central Region for Volkswagen of America, and he brings over 25 years of experience in automotive sales, sales leadership, network development and aftersales.

Stach holds a degree in finance from the University of Texas and an MBA from the Olin School of Business at Washington University in St. Louis.
