Janice Sharpe

DAYTON Janice D. Sharpe, 77 died Friday, Dec. 24, 2010 at Rhea Medical Center.Born in Lilly Brook, W. Va., Janice was the daughter of the late Webster Dobbins and Grace Dobbins Lawhorn.Janice and her late husband moved to Spring City area in 1974. She was of the Baptist faith.Janice was preceded in death by her husband Fawler McCoy Sharpe; a grandson Robert Sharp and a sister Marie Teaster.Survivors include her daughter Patricia Ann (Dennis) Cox of Dayton; son Bob (Kathy) Sharp of Martinsville, Va.; sisters Juanita Hewitt of Beckley, W. Va. and Norma Elkins of Moyock, N.C.; and brother Harold Dobbins of Beckley; granddaughter Christie Lynn Martin; and great grandsons, Tyler and Christopher Martin.Funeral services will be today, Dec. 27, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Ruehling officiating.Burial will follow in the Spring City Memorial Gardens.The family will receive friends today from 12 noon until time of services.Vaughn Funeral Home, Spring City is in charge of arrangements.
