CHICKAMAUGA Ruby Lee Mayes Seabolt, 70, died on Friday, Sept. 10, 2010.Ruby was a longtime member of Rossville Baptist Tabernacle and was a member, along with her sisters, of the gospel group "The Goodman Sisters" in the fifties and sixties. She worked as an aide at several area nursing homes. She was a loving mother and sister.She was preceded in death by her parents, Marion and Irene Goodman; and two sisters, Patsy Cordell and Glanda Harris.She leaves to cherish her memory her sons, Tim Mayes and "Tinker" Lavon Mayes; sisters, Beatrice Putnam, all of Chickamauga, Barbara Childers, Chattanooga; and several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held in the Heritage Funeral Home Chapel at 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 13, 2010, with Brother Jeff "Jabo" Brown and Pastor Jim Powell officiating.Interment will follow in Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. today at Heritage Funeral Home, 3239 Battlefield Parkway, Fort Oglethorpe.
