John Heise

John Edwin Heise III, 41, Ooltewah, died Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2010, at his residence after a lengthy illness. He had been a resident of the Chattanooga area for over 10 years and was a member of the Church of the Nativity in Fort Oglethorpe. Mr. Heise was a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served in the Gulf War. He was a service technician with ADT and enjoyed billiards, fishing, motorcycling, cowboy action shootings and spending time with his dogs Heidi and Mara.He was preceded in death by his father, John Edwin Heise Jr.Survivors are his mother, Mary Heise; sister, Elizabeth (Opie) Reed, Newport, Tenn.; fianc, Jeannine Segatto; nieces, Jessi and Alicia Reed, Newport, Tenn.; many aunts, uncles and cousins.Memorial services will be held 1 p.m. Friday at the Church of the Nativity with Rev. Betty Latham officiating.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the John Heise Fund for the Hungry, c/o Church of the Nativity, P.O. Box 2356, Fort Oglethorpe, GA 30742.The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.Arrangements are by Heritage Funeral Home, Battlefield Parkway.
