Jack Lehman

Jack Lehman, 86, of Harrison passed away Saturday, Feb. 5, 2011.He was a native of Chattanooga, in the mid fifties the family moved to Harrison. Jack was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church where he attended, regularly, all services, the Mens Sunday School Class, the Senior Citizen Group and served on the Benevalent Fund Committee. He retired from DuPont after 37 years of service and enjoyed meeting with his Retiree Club Members for their monthly "get togethers".He was the son of Christian and Della Lehman and was preceded in death by two brothers, James E. and C.A. Jr.; two sisters, Elizabeth Brooks and Martha Archer.Survivors include two brothers, Bill (Emma Lee) Lehman, Joe Lehman; one sister, Betty Sue Lehman and a sister-in-law, Ruth Lehman. Several nieces, nephews and cousins.Services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the Strickland Chapel located at 1724 McCallie Ave(corner of McCallie and Hawthorne) with the Rev. John Butley and Rev. James Hutchings officiating.The family will receive friends 2 to 6 p.m. today.In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Bethel Bible Village where he worked as a volunteer or New Bethel Baptist Church on Harrison Bay Road 37341.Interment will be held at Chattanooga National Cemetery.J.
