ROCK SPRING Sherry Lynn Dill Daugherty, 53, passed away Thursday, Feb. 3, 2011. She was a lifelong resident of LaFayette and the North Georgia area and a member of Woodstation Baptist Church. She was a graduate of LaFayette High School class of 1976, received her LPN license in 1988, and was the director of Nursing for NHC Rossville.Sherry was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Byers; and her father, Roland Kenneth Dill.She is survived by her husband, James Daugherty; mother, Mary Ellen Dill, of Rock Spring; son, Adam Byers (Amanda), of Villanow; sister, Tracey Dill, of LaFayette; grandchildren, Austin, Haley, Jacob and Myles; stepdaughter, Jennifer Gains, of LaFayette; stepsons, James, John, Sean and Daniel Daugherty; stepgrandchildren, Erin and Todd; and one nephew, Jackson Kaylor.A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2011 in the funeral home chapel with Brother Damon Perry officiating.
