CHICKAMAUGA Janie Lou Autry Shannon, 80, passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2011, from injuries sustained in a tornado.She was born in Chickamauga, Ga., to the late Jeff and Nora Ann Wallace Autry.She was a lifelong resident of Chickamauga and had worked in house keeping at Tri-County/Hutcheson Medical Center and National Health Care of Fort Oglethorpe, Ga.She was a member of United Church of God in Chattanooga.Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Charles A. Lindburg Shannon; son, Wallace Shannon; grandson, Chris Shannon; sister, Dorothy Autry; brothers: John, Frank, Charlie, Elder, James, Barnett and Archie Autry.She is survived by her grandson, Ronnie Shannon, of Flat Rock, Ala.; and a brother, Wayne Autry, of Ringgold, Ga.The family will receive friends prior to the service today.Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. today, May 2, 2011, in the chapel with the Rev.
