HIGDON William Carroll "Buddy" Michaels, 70, died Wednesday, April 27, 2011, at his residence.Mr. Michaels died with his wife, Martha Michaels, from storm related injuries.He was retired from carpenter local 74 and former pastor of Ider Holiness Church.He is survived by daughter, Towana Furgeson (Jimmy), Trenton, Butch Micheals (Amanda), Higdon, Brent Michaels (Carol), Flat Rock, Perry Michaels (Angela), Flat Rock; grandchildren, Heather Strickland, J.R. Brandy, Brittney, Cheynne, P. J. Kylie, Kaitlin Michaels; six great-grandchildren; brother, Travis Michaels, Higdon; sisters, Glenna Higdon, Higdon, Betty Horton, Higdon.In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to American Red Cross to help other storm victims.Funeral services will be Thursday, at 11 a.m. CDT at Corner Stone Funeral Chapel with Brother Shirley Byrum officiating and burial in Oak Lawn Memorial Park. Family will receive friends from 3 to 9 p.m. today.
