Bonny Thomas

Bonny Jean ThomasCHICKAMAUGA Bonny Jean Nichols Thomas went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 11, 2012.She was born in Columbia, Tenn., and graduated from Ward-Belmont Conservatory of Music in Nashville. She was married to Heatwole Campbell "Tommy" Thomas.They raised their four children on Signal Mountain. She worked for 20 years in the pharmacy at Newell Hospital. She and her husband own and operate Hidden Hollow Resort.She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Heatwole Campbell "Tommy" Thomas; three of her children, Bonny Belle Thomas (Robert) Lee, of Roanoke, Va., Sally Jean Thomas (David) Worland, of Chickamauga, Tommy Heatwole Thomas of Signal Mountain; and her grandchildren, Bonny Journey Lee, Captain Nathan Campbell Thomas, USMC, Sarah Katherine Thomas, Lt. Craig Thomas (Taylor) Worland, USMC, Scott Campbell (Bonnie) Worland, Bonny Jean Worland, Suzannah Sally Worland; and a special family friend, Logan Francis Thomas. She was predeceased by her son, Chip Campbell Thomas and her parents, Bonny Belle Journey Nichols and Claude W. Nichols; her brothers, David and Jack.She was full of life and people loved her. She sang in the Signal Mountain Ladies Glee Club, played the church organ and the piano for 14 years at Wayside Presbyterian Church and the Little Brown Church in Signal Mountain. She introduced the first clogging team in Chattanooga. She and her husband are known for the 'Hoedown' parties they conduct. She was also a national dance festival instructor.There will be a family graveside service at Coulter Cemetery.Visitation will be from 3-5 p.m. today, April 14, at Chickamauga Presbyterian Church, 700 W. 7th St., Chickamauga.A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 15, at Chickamauga Presbyterian Church.Memorial contributions may be made to Chickamauga Presbyterian Church.Arrangements by Wilson Funeral Home, J.
