Hattie B. Thompson Terrell, 85, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 11, 2012, at her home. She was retired from Blue Cross.She was preceded in death by her husband, T. C. Terrell; son, William Darneel Thompson Terrell; parents, Maurice Thompson and Lillian Cannon Labon.Survivors include her daughter, Mavoureen (Paul) Bates; grandchildren, Corsandra, Kimberly and Rodney (Kassandra) Terrell; four great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Rev. William H. (Mildred) Thompson Sr., Pete (Elizabeth) Lebon; host of nieces, nephews, cousins; sister-in-law, Evelyn Jackson.Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 17, 2012 in the chapel.Interment in Forest Hill Cemetery.The body will lie in state after noon today and the family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.
