LaFAYETTE Violet Jones Williams, 83, died Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2012, at her home in LaFayette.Violet was a wonderful Christian woman. Her fruits of the Spirit were always evident. She was a loving, generous friend as well as an inspiration to all who knew her.Survivors include her husband, Ron Williams of LaFayette; daughter, Joyce Swendsen, of Hernando, Fla.; son, Donald Jones, of Atlanta; a brother, Bob Parham, of Hudson, Fla.; and three sisters, Dot McCauley of LaFayette, Evelyn Mitchell, of Fort Payne, Ala. and Lana Catlett, of Homosassee, Fla.; four step-children, Randy Williams, Delores Woody, Roger Williams and Teresa Williams, all from Rock Spring, Ga.; grandchildren, Darian Ware, Brian Ware, Regina Ware and Johnathan Jones; four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her son, Daniel Jones; parents, Walter and Lillian Parham; brothers, Tom and Gene Parham; and sisters, Helen Brown and Ramona Boydston.A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 25, at the Second Baptist Church in LaFayette.In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to Hospice of Chattanooga Inc. 4411 Oakwood Dr., Chattanooga, TN 37416, and/or Second Baptist Church, P.O.
