Margaret Vandergriff

Margaret Vandergriff, 91, of Hixson, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012. She was a member of Middle Valley Baptist Church. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Simmie Vandergriff and son, George Vandergriff.Survivors include her daughters, Alice Conley, Shirley Coffelt, Jean Denton and Beverly Rutherford; sons, Wayne Vandergriff and Johnny Vandergriff and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.Services will be Tuesday, Dec. 4, at 2:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Christopher Rutherford and Rev. Ray Dotson officiating. Burial will follow at Hixson Cemetery with Mark Conley, Matthew Conley, Jason Templeton, Daniel Vandergriff, Richard Rutherford and Joseph Rutherford serving as pallbearers and honorary pallbearer, Kenneth Vandergriff.Visitation is today after noon at the funeral home.
