Pamela Norman

Pamela Norman, 44, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012 at a local hospital.Pamela was born Nov. 4, 1968 in Chattanooga, Tenn., to Charles E. and Deborah L. Edwards Ragland.Pamela was a member of Stanley United Methodist Church where she served as a choir member. Her melodious voice inspired and lifted up everyone who heard her sing.A 1987 graduate of Brainerd High School, Pamela graduated from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga with a Bachelor of Science in Business. She was a certified Lay Speaker of the United Methodist Church and a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, INC. Pamela was joined in Holy Matrimony to Fredrick Bernard Norman and to his union was born a son, Fredrick Bernard Norman, Jr., the apple of her eye.Pam was preceded in death by her grandparents, Mrs. Willie Mae Hill Edwards and Mr. Charles and Mrs. Matilda Ragland; and a loving mother-in-law, Mrs. Tessie Norman.She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Reverend Fredrick Bernard Norman, Sr.; son, Fredrick Bernard Norman, Jr.; step-daughters, Tessie (Michael) Morgan, Amanda Norman, Karnisha Norman and Sheanda (Adrian) Bridgeman; fourteen step-grandchildren; parents, Charles E. (Deborah) Ragland; grandfather, Mr. Willie Mack Edwards; brother, Anthony D. (Avery) Ragland; sister, Charlene E. Ragland; uncles, Raymond L. (Roberta) Edwards, Waynesboro, Va.; Dave (Grace) Ragland, Andrew (Marva) Ragland; aunts, Marilyn Hester, Roxanna Edwards, Rachel (Loney) Pennington; niece, Makayla J. Lewis; nephew, Marcus A. Lewis, Jr.; father-in-law, Hubert Jackson, brothers-in-law, Michael, Tony and Clifford Norman; god-mother, Mrs. Shirley A. Waite; special friends, Rosel Wright, Kendra Jordan and Michelle Collins; a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.Home going services will be held at Stanley United Methodist Church, 501 Dodson Avenue, Chattanooga, TN at Noon on Monday, Dec. 10, with Dr. Elston McLain officiating. Interment Highland Cemetery.Members of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. are asked to assemble at the Funeral Home today, at 4:30 p.m.The body will lie in state after noon today and the family will receive friends from 6 7 p.m. this evening at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Avenue, 622-9995.
