Margaret Talley

Margaret Irene Talley, 80, died Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012, in a local hospital.She was a lifelong resident of Chattanooga and longtime member of St. Johns United Methodist Church.Margaret was a Red Cross volunteer at Erlanger Hospital for over 40 years. She was the oldest of nine children.She was preceded in death by her parents, Clint and Clara Flippo; and two brothers, Buddy and Billy Flippo; and one sister, Wanda Weakley.Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Jimmy Talley; two daughters Jean (Randy) Peavy. of Seminole, Fla. and Donna (Bryan) Baxter, of San Antonio Texas; five sisters, Louise Lindsey, Gwen Harrell, Brenda Brown, Mildred Rossman and Diane Campbell; four grandchildren, Allen (Cindy) Sharp, Louis (Michelle) Sharp, Summer Peavy and Jason Baxter; four great-grandchildren, Colby, Katlyn, Ashlyn and Peyton Sharp; several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. today in the funeral chapel with Dallas Beck officiating.Burial will follow in Chattanooga National Cemetery.You may visit our guestbook at www.turnerfamilyfuneralhome.com.Arrangements by the Highway 58 Chapel of Turner Funeral Home, 3913 Webb Road, 622-3171.
