Evelyn Langston

Evelyn Bailey Langston, 90, died peacefully at the Hospice Care Center on Monday, July 9, 2012. She lived her life as a true "Steel Magnolia."Mrs. Langston, originally from Eatonton, Ga., moved to Chattanooga in 1941. She first worked at Peerless Woolen Mill and then General Shale Brick Co. After retirement she was a floral designer at The Golden Unicorn. A loving mother and grandmother, she was also a talented artist who loved working in her garden. For several years she was part of an art group at Senior Neighbors. She was a devoted member of Rossville First Baptist Church for 67 years where she provided beautiful flower arrangements for each service. Evelyn was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 52 years, W. J. "Lank" Langston; and sister, Marian Carnes. of Eatonton. She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Bozeman; son-in-law, Thomas Bozeman; granddaughters, Kelly (Tice) Vieira and Katie (Elliott) Keller; great-grandsons, Brennan and Riley Vieira; sister, Lucille Green of Eatonton; and brother, Ben Bailey of Macon.The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff at Morning Pointe on Shallowford where she lived for nine months in the Lantern and to the Hospice Care Center for their loving care in her last days.Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home chapel with Dr. David Tullock officiating.Interment in Lakewood Memory Gardens, South.Visit www.heritagefh.com to share words of comfort with the family and view the memorial tribute.Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Chattanooga, P.O.
