Fred Gordon

FORT OGLETHORPE Fred Chester Gordon, 69, passed away Wednesday, July 18, 2012, at a local hospital.His passions in life were his family, woodworking, sports especially football and teaching the Gospel.He was preceded in death by his parents, John Lewis and Mildred Gordon.He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Sheila Wood Gordon; daughter, Julie (Randy) Wolfe; son, John Gordon; three grandchildren, Colby, Jeffery and Josie Wolfe; two brothers; two sisters and several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, July 22, 2012 in the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home with Minister Jimmy Cribb officiating.The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m Saturday and from 2-4 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.Arrangements by the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, Rossville.
