Hillard Coleman

ROSSVILLE Hillard E. Coleman, 93, died Monday, July 23, 2012, in a local hospital.He was retired from Combustion Engineering and was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during World War II. Mr. Coleman served as minister to several area churches including Hooker Church of Christ, Ringgold Church of Christ, Chickamauga Church of Christ, Fort Oglethorpe Church of Christ, Westside Church of Christ, 12th Avenue Church of Christ, Hill Crest Church of Christ in Tunnel Hill, Tyner Church of Christ, and Tiftonia Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Rosemary Coleman; son, Hillard Coleman Jr.; and daughter, Patricia Sentell.Survivors are his wife, Clara Mae Coleman; daughters, Sandra Little, Rossville, Linda Parker, Chattanooga; nine grandchildren, Michael D. Sentell, DeWayne Parker, Jane Armstrong, Rob Foster, Amy Nutt, Jodi Gilreath ,Deana Johnson, John Sentell and Jennifer Lacy; 17 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home chapel with grandsons and great-grandsons, Michael Sentell, Robert Foster, Barry Gilreath, Tyler Gilreath and David Sentell officiating.
