Bill Coffee

William "Bill" Frank Coffee, of Chattanooga, passed away to be with the Lord Saturday, March 10, 2012, at Memorial Hospital after a long and courageous battle of illnesses. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and longtime resident. He was born in McDonald, Tenn., and was an active member of the 181st National Guard Division a number of years and a member of the Chattanooga Valley Church of the Nazarene in Flinststone, Ga. His unconditional love to his wife, family and friends was a reflection of God's love, faith and hope. In his earlier years, he worked as a wood craftsman at Hall's Lifetime Toys making special wooden toys and a Meat Cutter at several local grocery stores. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Evelyn Coffee, and brother, Owen Crawford Coffee. He's survived by his loving and devoted wife, Hermenia Coffee; a brother, Waymond Coffee and wife, Cindi Coffee; niece, Chelsea Coffee; a son, Danny Coffee and wife, Diane Coffee; a daughter, Kim Coffee Sanders and the late Steve Sanders; three grandsons, Ryan Coffee and wife, Misty Coffee, Zachary Sanders, and Sean Sanders; and a greatgrandson, Gaige Coffee. Bill was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather who was an avid gardener, wood craftsman, bird and animal lover and enjoyed being on the ball fields watching his son, daughter and grandsons play sports. Through his love of gardening and craftsmanship, he often shared his love to others by making bird houses, feeders to give away or donate for others to enjoy.Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Monday, March 12, 2012, at Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Steve Holley and the Rev. Jon Bemis officiating. The interment will follow in Lakewood Memory Gardens South.
