SPRING CITY Lewis A. Thomas, 70, died Friday, March 16, 2012, at Rhea Medical Center.He was a lifelong resident of Rhea County and was a member of TOPS.He was preceded in death by parents, William Alfred and Nancy Jane Scholtz Thomas; great-grandson, Drayton Reed Hartman; sister, Rachel Adcox.Survivors include wife, Maxine Goss Lewis, Spring City; two sons, Mike Thomas, Kingsport, Tenn., Scott Thomas; daughter, Trisha Thomas Hartman, both of Spring City; brother, Donnie Thomas, Chatsworth, Ga.; sister, Mae Holloway, Spring City; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.Funeral will 2 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home with the Rev.
