Raymond Dameron

Raymond H. Dameron, 88, had his church membership transferred to the Church Triumphant on Monday, May 7, 2012.He was loving husband to Dorothy E. Dameron; father of Beth Dameron Carroll; grandfather of Laura E. Allen, Jennifer N. Fearnow and D. Seth Fearnow; and great-grandfather of Elijah H. Allen. Mr. Dameron served with the Air Force in World War II. He taught science for 35 years at Covenant College, sang for many years with the Chattanooga Opera chorus and his church choir and was a minister in the Presbyterian Church in America.Burial will be at 1:30 p.m. today at Chattanooga National Cemetery.Family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. until noon on Friday at Lookout Mountain Presbyterian Church. A Memorial service will follow at noon in the church sanctuary.In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial gifts be sent to Covenant College.Arrangements by Wann Funeral Home.
