James Precise

ROSSVILLE James Robert Precise, 89, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, May 18, 2012. He was born in Scottsboro, Ala. to the late, Rorex & Mae Belle Precise, but had lived in the Rossville area for most of his life and was Ordained into the Baptist Ministry in 1959. He was previously employed with Peerless-Woolen Mills and was a member of Battlefield Baptist Church. He also enjoyed fishing and was a wonderful father, husband and grandfather who will be greatly missed by all that knew him. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Lela Mae Precise; son, Bobby Precise; great granddaughter, Sara Maynor; two sisters, Rena Proctor and Hazel Floyd and brother, Lloyd Bryan Precise.Survivors include his two daughters & son-in-law, Glenda & (Howard) Thomas and Janet Kanitz all of Rossville, Ga.; sister, Sally Proctor of Scottsboro, Ala.; 6 grandchildren, Larry & Tommy Maynor and James, Tracy, Randy & Tammy Hicks; 20 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. today, May 21, in the Fort Oglethorpe Chapel with Rev. David Crane officiating. Burial will follow in the Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park. The family will receive friends after 3 p.m. Sunday and prior to the service on today at the funeral home.
