Berlin Watkins

Berlin Watkins, 88, of Chattanooga passed away on Monday, Nov. 5, 2012 at her home.She was a retired, self employed beautician of Chattanooga. She was a member of Greater Friendship Primitive Baptist Church, where she served in several church ministries.Her husband, John Watkins and other family members preceded her in death.Survivors include her daughter, Hiawatha (Otis) Smedley; sister, Cynthia Gunn, all of Chattanooga; host of other relatives.Services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13, at Greater Friendship Primitive Baptist Church with Elder James Penny officiating. Interment Hamilton Memorial Gardens.The body will lie in state after noon today and the family will receive friends from 7 8 p.m. at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Avenue, 622-9995.
