Janie Scissom

SOUTH PITTSBURG Janie Nadine Scissom, 65, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012, at her home in South Pittsburg.She was born on Nov. 25, 1946 in Mount Pleasant, Texas. She graduated from South Plains College School of Nursing in Lubbock, Texas and worked for Methodist Hospital for a number of years.Janie was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Nola (Ross) Cox; sisters, Fay Matthews, Edna Balentine and Linda Payton; brothers, Billy Cox and Sammy Cox.Janie is survived by her husband, Charles "Ron". Her sons, Marc (Tammy) Scissom, Chris Scissom; and her daughter, Robin Scissom Ford; brothers, Dwayne and Mike Cox; and sister, Cindy (Jim) Bain; grandchildren, Jeffrey Scissom, Britni Brown, Andrew Ford, Matthew Ford, Brooke Scissom, Emily Scissom, Mia Scissom; her great-grandchildren, Brasden and Lorelai Brown; and other loving relatives.A memorial service will be held at Jasper Church of the Nazarene, 1028 Betsy Pack Drive, Jasper, Tenn., at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 17, with Pastor Kevin Knight. She will be laid to rest at Orme Mountain Cemetery, South Pittsburg, Tenn. at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012, with Pastor Jody Moore officiating.In lieu of flowers, please donate to The Susan G.
