George Eargle

ROSSVILLE George Talton Eargle Sr., 71, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012, after a long battle with cancer.He was employed by the Nu-Foam Trucking Co. in Chattanooga for many years, and served in the National Guard for several years.He was preceded in death by his father, George Talton Eargle; and his mother, Jessie Eargle, of Oneonta, Ala., and was the grandson of the late Rev. D. Lee Jones and Vassie Jones, of Lakeland, Fla.He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Shirley Novine Deal Eargle, of LaFayette; his children, Dennis Wade Eargle, of Wildwood, Lemuel Shaw Collins, of Rossville, Rachel Lee Beason, of Chickamauga, Deborah Deal Amick, of Chattanooga, Paula Darlene Callahan, of Dalton; grandchildren, Jasper and Maddux Beason, Nikki and Lamont Putnam, Amanda and Jamie Jones, Anthony and Amy Callahan, Shawn Callahan, Dawn Hooper; aunts Mildred Meadows, of Midfield, Ala., and Frances Byrne, of Lakeland, Fla.Funeral services will be held 4 p.m. today in the Chapel with Rev.
