Tivis Gilbert

Tivis Harold Gilbert, of Chattanooga, passed away at his home Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012. He was 62.He was preceded in death by his parents, Lacy Gilbert and Goldie Gilbert; brothers, Elmer Gilbert, Grady W. Gilbert, Gorman Gilbert.He is survived by his wife, Yvonne Gilbert; children, Elizabeth Erkaya, Jimmy Gilbert, Rebecca Gilbert; son in spirit, B.J. Jennelle and his son, Zacharay; grandchildren, Mena and Bethane Erkaya, Tyler and Jacob Gilbert; sisters, Ona Bowman, Bonnie Dotson, Floria Hay, Elizabeth Breeding, Retha Baird; brothers, Delmer Gilbert, Norman Gilbert; brothers in spirit, Mark and his wife, Riko Kishimoto, Steve Smith and John Miller; and many nieces and nephews.Memorial services will be Monday, Nov. 19, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at Advantage Funeral Home.Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army.Arrangements are by Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services, Franklin-Strickland-Pinkard-Bryan-Smith Funeral Directors, 1724 McCallie Avenue, 423-265-4414.
