Bonnie Viola Kirby, 81, of Hixson, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012, in an area healthcare facility.Mrs. Kirby retired from Roper Corporation after many years of service. She was a member of Calvary Independent Baptist Church.She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Rebecca Pittman; daughter, Wendy Smith; son, Michael Smith; several brothers and sisters.Survivors include her daughter, Connie (Chris) Dent; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Hamilton Memorial Gardens with Rev.
