Rosella Barker

Rosella Linam Barker, 98, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, Nov. 23, 2012.She was a lifelong resident of Hixson and was a member of Hixson United Methodist Church for more than 50 years.She was preceded in death by her husband, William C. Barker; daughter, Peggy Barker Dunn; parents; brothers; and sisters.She is survived by her children, Jackie Barker (wife Vivian); Helen Barker Hinsinger; and Margaret Barker Smith (husband Pete). She had nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and many special friends. A graveside service will be conducted at 3 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 26, in the Chapel of Devotion Mausoleum located at Hamilton Memorial Gardens, Hixson. The service will be conducted by the Reverend Ted Painter. The grandsons will serve as pallbearers.There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
