ROCKY FACE Courtney Melissa Hudson Hooper, 51, passed away on Sunday morning, Sept. 30, 2012, at Hospice of Chattanooga. Courtney was born on Feb. 4, 1961 in Youngstown, Ohio. She was a member of Dalton First United Methodist Church, and was a teacher for many years.She was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. Jack Utt and Evelyn Hubbard Hudson. Courtney is survived by her son, Weston Case Hooper, of Dalton; and a brother, Jack Utt Hudson II. Several special aunts, uncles, Godchildren, cousins and many, many friends also survive Ms. Hooper.A funeral service to celebrate the life of Ms. Courtney Hooper will be at 4 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 5, 2012, at Dalton First United Methodist Church with Dr. Robin Lindsey and the Rev. Kenny Ott officiating. Graveside services will follow the funeral at West Hill Cemetery in Dalton.The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 p.m. on Thursday.In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.Arrangements by independently owned Dalton Funeral Home, 620 S.
