Ola Roddy

DAYTON Ola "Cotton" Roddy, 88, died Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012, at her sons resident in Soddy-Daisy.She was a longtime resident of Rhea County, she also lived in Battle Creek,Mich., prior to moving back to Rhea County. She was a member of the Dayton Senior Citizens and Gold Star Sister. She was retired from Robinsons Manufacturing and also a member of the Family Church of Dayton.She was preceded in death by husband, Leland Roddy; parents, Carl and Pearl Austin Potter; three brothers, Clyde, Ed and Robert Potter; twin sister, Nola Beavers.Survivors include two sons, Frank (Stacey) Roddy, Soddy-Daisy, Dennis (Evelina) Roddy, Dayton; two daughters, Gail (Larry) Quattrochi, Hixson, Pam (Wayne) Hixson, Dayton; sisters, Katherine (Clay) Porter, Spring City, Tenn.; three grandchildren, William and Scott Travis and Heather Daniel; four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.Funeral was 2 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Coulter-Garrison Funeral Home with the Rev.
