Dillard Daniel

Dillard Taylor Daniel passed on to meet his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, Oct. 11, 2012.He was born in Tate, Ga., but grew up in the Red Bank area. He was a long-time member of Red Bank Baptist Church, where he served as Deacon and teacher in Sunday school. He was active in sports and later a big supporter of Little League programs. He attended the University of Chattanooga and the University of Tennessee Knoxville.He spent the bulk of his business career with Borden Foods. Later, He founded A & D Sales, a Chattanooga-based wholesale packaging company, which he operated until his retirement.He was preceded in death by his father and mother, C.J. and Gertrude Daniel and a brother, Alton C. Daniel.He is survived by his wife, Margaret Smith Daniel; son, Jeffrey Melvin Daniel (Kathryne W.); daughter, Cynthia (Cindee) Daniel Pulliam (James B. Jr.) and four grandsons, Collin Daniel, Bryce Daniel, Cooper Daniel and Logan Waddell, all of Signal Mountain, TN. He is also survived by one sister, Mabel Daniel Dyer (W. Carl Jr.); a brother, Paul Tate Daniel and several nieces and nephews.Special thanks go to the staff at Alexian Village Health and Rehab Center for the loving care he received in the months leading up to his death.The family will receive friends from at the North Chapel from 4 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 14, 2012.A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 15, 2012 at Chapel of Devotion in Hamilton Memorial Gardens with Dr. Fred A.
