Manuell Griffin

CHICKAMAUGA Manuell Griffin, 78, passed away Friday, Oct. 12, 2012 at his home.He attended Revival Baptist Church and retired from Shaw Industries with 37 years of service. He enjoyed motorcycles, fishing and picking up aluminum cans for recycling. He was a devoted husband, father, pawpaw and brother.He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Susie Griffin; sister, Jewell Irwin; brother, Jerry Griffin; and great-grandson, Elijah Hallman.Survivors include his wife, Charlotte Griffin; children, Frankie Griffin, Joe Griffin, Ernie Wood, Lynn Bishop, Sandy Achi, David Wallace, Nina Moore and Rachel Parrish; 18 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; sisters, Shirley Garrett and Bonnie (Willie) Pritchett; and several nieces and nephews.Condolences may be sent to www.lane-southcrestchapel.comFuneral services will be held on Monday, Oct. 15, at 3 p.m. in the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home with the Rev. Dwight Sanders and Rev. Faye Harmon officiating. Burial will follow in the Chickamauga City Cemetery.
