ROCK SPRING Lelan Hughes, 87, died Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2012.Mr. Hughes was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Evelyn Smith Hughes.Member of Beulah Baptist Church, Fyffe, Ala.Survived by daughters, Shelia (Terry) Thompson, Deborah Hughes, LaFayette; grandchildren, Amy (Cary) Parker, Kellie Thompson, Seth Thompson; great-grandchildren, Ethan Parker, Haleigh Parker and Daelyn Bolton; several nieces and nephews also survive.Interment in Rock Spring Cemetery.Pallbearers are Terry Thompson, Seth Thompson, Cary Parker, Travis Butler, Jim Powelson and Nate Erwin.The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. today.Arrangements are by Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home of LaFayette.
