GRANDVIEW Michael M. "Mike" Roland, 57, died Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2012, at his residence.A lifetime resident of Grandview, he was a graduate of the Spring City High School, Class of 1973. Mike was a self-employed farmer and cattleman. As a small child, Mike developed a love of horses. He and Gena showed horses in this area for several years and won many ribbons. Mike was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his father, James N. Roland; brother, Thomas Ray Roland; grandparents, Edgar and Alma Reed.Survivors include his companion of 33 years, Gena Hassler, of Grandview; mother and stepfather, Leah Reed Dodson and Earl Dodson, of Spring City; brother, Jimmy Roland, of Grandview; stepsister, Susan Dodson, of Douglasville, Ga.; niece, Tiffany (Brad) Rolison, of Booneville, Miss.; nephew, Nick Smith, of Douglasville, Ga.; and great-nephew, Braden Rolison.Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home with Rev.
