ROCK SPRING Katherine Evelyn Cooley Hester, 79, passed away Friday, Sept. 21, 2012.She was born to the late Phillip and Annie Brock Cooley in Chattanooga on Feb. 24, 1933. She retired from Buster Brown as a Printer and she attended Alton Park Baptist Church.She was preceded in death by her husband, Newell Hester.Survivors include her son, Dennis (Cheri) Hester, of Dalton; daughter, Kathy Hester, of Rock Spring; grandson, Ray Corbin and his wife, Sonya; great-granddaughter, Carlee Corbin; and great-grandson, Brandon Corbin.The family will receive friends from 5-9 p.m today at the funeral home.Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Kevin Hulsey officiating.Interment will follow in Rock Spring Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association at 922 East Morris Street, Dalton, GA 30721 in memory of Katherine Hester, Jim Hester and Lucille Autry.Online guestbook available at www.wilsonfuneralhome.com Arrangements are by Wilson Funeral Homes, LaFayette Chapel.
