Robert Shewell

RINGGOLD Robert Montgomery Shewell III, 69, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2012, in a local hospital.Robert graduate of 1960 Class of Chattanooga City High School, was a Veteran of the U.S. Army, National Guard where he earned the rank of Staff Sergant. Robert was also a Crew Chief for Minuteman Rocket System of the Cold War Era.Robert was a tax accountant and attended Christ United Methodist Church in East Brainerd.He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Shewell Jr. whom died in the Battle of the Bulge; mother, Mary Wilson Shewell.Survivors include his daughters, Lee Cook and Missy Shaw; son, Will Shewell; sister, Sissy Benton; and four grandchildren.Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 24, 2012, at the funeral home.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Chattanooga or American Cancer Society.Share your thoughts and memories at www.advantagechattanooga.comArrangements by Advantage Funeral Cremation Services Franklin-Strickland-Pinkard-Bryan-Smith Funeral Directors, 1724 McCallie Ave. 423-265-4414
