Betty Poindexter

RINGGOLD Betty Lou Poindexter, 79, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012.She had lived in the North Georgia area for most of her life and was a member of Lakeview First Baptist Church. She was a member of the Eastern Star-Pocahontas Chapter and was a devoted wife and mother who will be greatly missed by all that knew her.She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Alice Kilgore; and husband, Gene Poindexter.Survivors include her daughter, Debbie Henderson Bell, of Chickamauga, Ga.; and son and daughter-in-law, Wayne (Donna) Henderson, of LaFayette, Ga.; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Clifford (Jewell) Kilgore, of East Ridge, Ga., and Roy and (Sue) Kilgore, of Rock Spring, Ga.; sister, Barbara Queen, of Ringgold; three grandchildren, Chris (Laura) Henderson, Katy Henderson and Brandon Bell; great-grandson, Carson Bell; and several nieces and nephews.Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2012, at Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 p.m. today, and prior to the service Wednesday at the funeral home.Arrangements are by W. L. Wilson and Sons Funeral Homes, Fort Oglethorpe.
