Arnold Barker

Jr.Arnold Barker Jr., 89, of Harrison, passed away Saturday, Aug. 3, 2013.A lifelong resident of Harrison, he was of the Baptist faith and was retired from the U.S. Navy and was a Veteran of WWII, having served at Pearl Harbor. He was a member of the USS Hornet Club, Inc. in honor of those who served on the USS Hornet CV/CVA/CVS-12. He was also retired from Olan Mills and was preceded in death by his wife Gladys Barker; four brothers and one sister.Survivors include his five daughters, Marcia (Jerry) Driver, Waco, Texas, Becky (Leon) Crowe, Harrison, Kathy (Dale) Bishop, Harrison, Candy (Sonny) Frizzell, Old Hickory, Tenn., and Cindy (Ray) Snyder, Ooltewah; 11 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday Aug. 7, in the Valley View Chapel with the Rev. Floyd Robinson and the Rev.
