SPARTA John Ann Simmons, 88, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2013, at Life Care in Sparta, Tenn.She was born Feb. 11, 1925 in McMinnville, Tenn. Her parents were Delter Melton and Eliza Blair Melton.She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 43 years, George H, Simmons Sr. as well as one sister and five brothers.She is survived by her son, George H. Simmons Jr. and wife Sharon, of Signal Mountain; daughters, Kathaleen Replogle and husband, Jim, of Carthage, Tenn., and Barbara Sorrell and husband, Jim, of Sparta. She is also survived by grandchildren, Andrew Simmons, Kelly Beck and husband, Andy, Jay Replogle and wife, Erin and Hank Replogle; also great-grandchildren, Piper Beck and Griffin Beck.Funeral service will be at Central Church of Christ, in Sparta, Tenn., at 11 a.m. CDT Friday, Aug. 9, 2013.
